Rameswaram is an Island in Tamil Nadu India. The Island is connected to the main land by Pamban bridge which is used by trains and Indira Gandhi bridge which is road bridge. The town is a very famous town and has a long history and has been an important place in the great Indian epic Ramayana. It is from this Island that Lord Rama went to Sri Lanka to fight against King Ravana and bring back his wife Sita. The Island is also famous for being the birth place of the “People’s president of India” Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Here are few photos from the visit.
